The Department of Environmental Management: Leadership Dedicated to a Sustainable Natural and Urban Environment in Pinellas County for Present and Future Generations
The
Environmental Management Department works
to protect the lands and waterways along
with air quality and native biodiversity
in Pinellas County. It is also involved
in many urban environmental issues through
the enforcement of various codes and
regulations. It develops and implements
management policies for the county's
largest lakes, and restores wildlife
habitat on County property. The department
also investigates environmental issues
in response to complaints filed by citizens. |
