  • September 26, 2006 - All equipment has been removed from the project area.
  • September 18, 2006 - Beach nourishment has been completed in all three sections!  Final demobilization will occur this week.The contractor will grade the beach a final time following the passage of tomorrow's cold front. All equipment should be removed by the weekend.
  • September 11, 2006 - Work in Section 3 (Upham Beach) will be completed by the end of this week.The scarp that has formed in Sections 1 and 2 will be knocked down prior to final demobilization.
  • September 5, 2006 - Work began in Section 3 on Sunday and will continue for approximately 2 weeks.

  • August 28, 2006 - Sunset Beach is being completed today. See Section 2 summary. Commencement of construction on Upham Beach will be delayed until passage of Tropical Storm Ernesto.
  • August 17, 2006 - The equipment is being relocated to Sunset Beach today. Pumping should begin tomorrow.
  • August 14, 2006 - Construction began on Sunshine Beach on Friday. Work will be completed by this Friday, August 18.
  • August 2, 2006 - Expect initial mobilization to Sunshine Beach next week.
