administers the County's growth management and MPO programs, including the responsibility for long-range
and comprehensive planning, transportation
planning, land development regulations, zoning and

Local
Planning Agency - Required by Florida's Growth Management Act, the Local Planning Agency is a lay board that makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners regarding changes to the Comprehensive Plan, Future Land Use, the Land
Development Code, etc.
Planning
Review Committee - The Planning Review Committee is comprised of County staff charged with reviewing zoning and land use proposals, etc., with applicants in order to develop recommendations to present to the Local Planning Agency for consideration. 
Board of Adjustment
- Established by the Pinellas County Land Development Code, the Board of Adjustment is a lay board that reviews variances and special exceptions as they pertain to regulations set forth in Chapter 138 of the Pinellas County Land Development Code.
