Enjoy the 2023 Colors of Pinellas Art Show which features 250 entries from 160 employees, retirees, volunteers/interns and family members. Thank you to all of the participants who shared their creativity.

Congratulations to the 2023 Art Show winners.

  • The Colors of Pinellas Virtual Art Show, presented by The National Arts Program and Pinellas County, provides an opportunity for Pinellas County Government employees, retirees, volunteers, interns, and their families to participate in a professional exhibition and compete for cash prizes.
  • The show will be judged by professional artists, and includes Amateur, Intermediate, Professional, Teen, and Youth classifications.

Prizes

Each artist receives a Certificate of Participation in The National Arts Program. The Art Show was judged by art professionals, and prizes were awarded by classification as shown below. Entrants are limited to one cash prize.

Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional)

  • 3 – First Place Awards of $350
  • 3 – Second Place Awards of $250
  • 3 – Third Place Awards of $150

Youth/Teen (Youth 12 & Under; Teen 13-18)

  • 2 – First Place Awards of $150
  • 2 – Second Place Awards of $100
  • 2 – Third Place Awards of $50

Best in Show (Adults Only) – $400

Art Education (Teens and Youth Only) – $200

Honorable Mention – Judges’ discretion

Who are the judges?

Our 2023 Art Show judges are:

  • Catherine Bergmann, Curatorial Director, Dunedin Fine Art Center
  • Emily Shrider, Art Curator, Tom and Mary James/Raymond James Financial Art Collection
  • Peter Tush, Curator of Education, Dalí Museum

How do I register?

Registration has closed. Please plan to participate next year!

What are the rules?

Who is eligible to participate?

Pinellas County Government employees, retirees, volunteers, interns and their immediate family members are eligible.

What categories of art are included?

Photography, painting, works on paper (such as watercolor, pencil, ink, etc.), sculpture, craft, and mixed media are included. For more info, see the Art Show Guide.

Can an artist win more than one award?

No. An artist cannot win more than one award in their classification, such as First and Second Place for Adult Intermediate.

Can I buy artwork in the show?

Yes — some artwork will be indicated For Sale in the digital show. If you are interested in buying an item, contact Employee Communications by email or call (727) 464-3367, option 2.
