ID Badge Photo Requirements

Please note the following requirements when taking a photograph for your Pinellas County ID badge.

Photo Specifications

  • In color
  • Headshot (mid chest up)
  • Indoors
  • Recent photo (within the last 6 months)
  • Plain light-color background
  • Look directly at the camera
  • Work-appropriate clothing
  • No hat or head covering unless worn daily for a religious purposes
  • No sunglasses; eyeglasses are fine if they allow a clear view of your eyes

How to Take the Photo

  • Find a room with a plain, non-cluttered wall, turn on all the lights, stay away from windows to avoid shadows, and ask someone to take a close-up photo of you from the chest up.
  • A smartphone photo is fine if it’s large (around 1 MB).
