Retiree: Behavioral / Mental Health Plan

Pinellas County provides confidential assistance with life’s pressures to its retirees. Retirees may find help through one of two programs depending on their Medicare eligibility: Cigna for non-Medicare retirees and Aetna for Medicare-eligible retirees.

Non-Medicare Eligible Retirees

Retirees enrolled in Cigna’s medical plans are covered for confidential behavioral / mental health services (see links below). This includes the Open Access Plus (OAP) plan, previously called Point of Service or POS, and the Choice Fund Open Access Plus HSA plan, previously called the Consumer Driven Health Plan.

Medicare Eligible Retirees

Retirees enrolled in Aetna’s Medicare Advantage PPO plan are covered for confidential behavioral / mental health services as shown.

Outpatient

  • Group therapy visit: $10 copay
  • Individual therapy visit: $15 copay

Inpatient

  • The plan covers up to 190 days in a lifetime for inpatient behavioral health care in a psychiatric hospital.
  • $50 copay per stay, up to 190 days
