 Justice Coordination - Projects

Judicial Process Study
The purpose of the study is to review processes influencing the inmate population across the various system stakeholders. The end result should identify system-wide trends and recommended actions with guidelines for the creation of a coordinated jail population management process that is sustainable and effective in influencing needed change.

Drug Court Evaluation
The Adult Drug Court program has been in existence since January of 2001. With the Board of County Commissioners being the funders for drug court treatment and the Office of Justice Coordination having administrative oversight of the drug court treatment contracts, it was decided along with the Court to have a process evaluation conducted. The process was carried out over a three month period from June – September of 2007. A copy of the report is available.

Alternatives to Incarceration Report
As a result of jail overcrowding over a sustained period of time and the voters’ approval of the Penny for Pinellas renewal in March 2007, the Office of Justice Coordination attempted to undertake a comprehensive account of current available services in Pinellas County that could make a difference in the daily jail population.
A copy of the report is available.
