46th Avenue N. Sidewalk Improvements
Project ID# 002927A
46th Avenue N., from 55th Street N. Drainage Outfall to 48th Street N., St. Petersburg
Pinellas County Public Works, through the County’s Capital Improvement Program, is reconstructing the pavement, adding curb and gutter and making sidewalk improvements along both sides of 46th Avenue N. in St. Petersburg through the unincorporated area of West Lealman. The project consists of the design of ADA-compliant sidewalks and curb ramps to provide a safer pathway for pedestrians and bicyclists.
The 46th Avenue N. roadway is an existing two-lane collector road that extends across the County from east to west. The project begins at the western boundary of Lealman, from west of drainage outfall along 55th Street N., and continues east for approximately 0.5 miles to the intersection of 49th Street N. The project extends through a residential neighborhood that currently does not have sidewalks.
A Neighborhood Project Information Meeting was held in May 2019 at the Lealman Exchange to provide citizens with project details, garner input and answer questions.
