Project Overview
Pinellas County Public Works is making improvements to the intersection of 62nd Avenue N. and 58th Street N. in St. Petersburg. The intersection improvements include added turn lanes and bike lanes and enhancements to the drainage and signalization. Once completed, the project will result in better overall operational efficiency of the intersection as well as pedestrian, bicyclist and motorist safety. This project is being completed in coordination with sidewalk improvements along 62nd Avenue N., from 62nd Street N. to east of 58th Street N.
A Neighborhood Project Information Meeting was held in October 2018 to share information about both projects and garner input from citizens.
Project Schedule
- Design Start: December 2017
- Design End: October 2019
- Construction Start: June 2020
- Construction End: December 2020
This project is funded through the Penny for Pinellas program, the county's local infrastructure sales tax.
