Crosswinds Drive Bridge Replacement
Project ID# 000702A
Crosswinds Drive Bridge Replacement over Crosswinds Canal, Palm Harbor.
Pinellas County Public Works, through the Countyls Capital Improvement Program, is replacing the aging bridge on Crosswinds Drive over the Crosswinds Canal in Palm Harbor. The project also includes sidewalk connectivity in the vicinity of the bridge replacement. The existing bridge has substandard shoulder widths and barriers not meeting current structural design criteria. The proposed bridge will meet current design criteria and provide wider shoulders and raised sidewalks on both sides allowing for a safer pedestrian facility.
The project area includes roadway improvements along Crosswinds Drive from west of Gulfwinds Drive West to 160 feet east of the new bridge and sidewalk connectivity along Crosswinds Drive, Manor Boulevard and Innisfil Street. In order to provide access to residents west of the bridge, construction will be phased to allow for one lane of traffic at all times.

This project is funded by the Penny for Pinellas, the county’s local infrastructure sales tax.
