Project Overview
Pinellas County has identified water quality concerns in the McKay Creek watershed, which covers approximately 5,500 acres in west-central Pinellas County. The watershed area spans across several jurisdictions, including parts of Largo, Belleair Bluffs, Seminole and unincorporated areas of the County. This project includes the construction of two ponds to improve water quality in McKay Creek. The upstream pond will treat in-stream flows and the downstream pond will treat stormwater runoff from the neighborhood streets.

This project is funded through the Penny for Pinellas program and grants from SWFWMD and FDOT.
