Philippe Park Pedestrian Boardwalk Replacement
Project ID# 003494A
Philippe Park, 2525 Philippe Parkway, Safety Harbor
Pinellas County and the City of Safety Harbor have partnered in the replacement of the pedestrian bridge connecting the north end of Bayshore Drive to Philippe Park. The bridge was originally built in 1984 and has outlived its useful life. The bridge will be replaced with a 12-foot-wide steel truss bridge. Sidewalk connections to the bridge will be improved to allow better access for pedestrians and bicyclists. The project is currently scheduled for award by the Board of County Commissioners in August 2019.
