VENDOR APPLICATION

Pinellas County Wants You as a Business Partner!


Effective August 3, 2009, the Purchasing Department for the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners will start to use DemandStar.com for our vendor application and formal Bid and Request for Proposal notifications. Vendors must register with Onvia DemandStar at www.demandstar.com. Vendors can register for the Free Agency Program to receive notifications and to download solicitations at no cost for a single agency. If you would like to subscribe for more than one agency Onvia DemandStar offers additional programs for a fee.

DemandStar is a self-maintained vendor registration system. Based on the commodities you register with you will receive notifications of bidding opportunities. Even though you may have registered with us in the past you must re-register in the DemandStar system or you will no longer receive notifications of bidding opportunities.

When you register you may choose to receive Bid/RFP notifications via email. It is strongly recommended that you use an email address that reaches your Company's person who will take action. It is important to remember that this is a self-maintained system, so when information about your Company changes you must update the information in DemandStar or you will not receive bidding notifications.

Becoming a business partner with Pinellas County opens doors to additional business and sales opportunities and a new working relationship is created.

Doing business with Pinellas is a fair, competitive process and dollars are not always the only criteria for success. Other considerations may be responsiveness, responsibility, quality, service, timeliness, past performance, and stability. Many factors are considered in arriving at the best offer for goods and services for Pinellas County.

For Construction Services identified as the following see the Construction Services/Prequalification process to become a prequalified vendor. You are encouraged to register with DemandStar even though you are only interested in the prequalified vendor program for construction services.

Approved vendors are placed on appropriate commodity and service bid lists to assure timely notification by mail of opportunities to bid county commodities, equipment, and services. Be alert and responsive to the bidding opportunities that will come your way by visiting DemandStar.com to register.
