• First Place Award to County Extension! – Florida Association of Natural Resource Extension Professionals for local outreach program - “Check Your Green Commitment - Take a Pledge!”

• First LEED Green Local Government Certification in the State of Florida (Silver level) from the Florida Green Building Coalition

Culture, Education and Leisure

• Outstanding Achievement in Restoration Rehabilitation was awarded to Heritage Village by the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation

Environmental Management

• Leadership in Conservation from Trust for Public Lands and NACO

Fire/EMS

• Sunstar Winner Governor's Sterling Council's Regional Showcase and State Finalist

Office of Management & Budget

• Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Awards for the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Budget Years
