St. Pete Shuffle
Friday Nights (from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.)
St. Pete Shuffle is looking for people to volunteer on Friday nights. Stop by on any Friday night to learn how to "open" and "close" Shuffle. Before long you'll know how to set out the supplies and teach people how to play Shuffleboard. It's easy and fun. The commitment is flexible - volunteer once a year or once a month. We also have some volunteer opportunities for "scrub the club" coming up. There will be more info on that soon If you are interested, just stop by St. Pete Shuffle any Friday night between 7-11pm and tell a staff member. Supervisor of Elections Ballot Opening

Ballot Opening, Supervisor of Elections Office, 13001 Starkey Rd, Largo.  20 volunteers needed to help the Supervisor of Elections with the opening of mail ballots for the November 3rd municipal elections.  Volunteer all day Wednesday, October 28, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., or one of two shifts:  8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. or 12:00 p.m.– 4:00 p.m.  Continental breakfast provided from 8:00-8:30; light snack provided 11:30-12:00.  You may bring your own lunch/snacks (refrigerator and microwave available), or you may leave for lunch.  Registration is a must.  Please call Ken Lanphar or Martin Munro at 464-6108 for more information.

Holiday Garden Lights at Florida Botanical Gardens
November 28, 2009 - January 17, 2010 , 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Florida Botanical Gardens, 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo
We are in need of volunteers to help with donation collection, coordinating the daily process of turning the lights on/off or perhaps helping to set up the train display daily.  We would appreciate your help and if you are interested please contact us at the Extension 727-582-2117 and ask for Chuck Scaffidi or leave a message and we will return your call.

Call now so training and scheduling can begin.

We appreciate your consideration.  One night shift of four hours adds up quickly in overall savings on the expenses to host the event.  All volunteers will be provided with a training session prior to the start date of the event.
